Gurus please help since my case is somewhat unique
I have future GC filed from Company X, the priority date is February 2006.
I am currently working for Company Y on H1B. This H1B will expire in April 2009. Company Y is also ready to file my GC and I would like to work with Company Y till by future GC is approved, my question is
If I have already filed for 485, EAD and AP through Company X, scenario will it be advisable to file another labour and I-140 through Company Y now?
What could be the implications?

I was on F-1 when I applied for I-485 (my wife was the primary applicant). My I-20 expired 6 months back, and I'm working on EAD. I'm planning to travel to India and use my AP for return. Will that be fine ?
What about my I-94 expiry ? I still have a 2 yr old I-94 on my passport, marked F-1/D-S.

I recall that USCIS was planning to issue 2 year AP and 2 year EAD. I see that the 2 year EAD has been implemented. ANy idea, if and when the 2 year AP implementation is expected?

You can file your spouses' 485 when your PD is current. Follow the visa bulletin every month. Please fill out your IV profile.

Did any body renew thier EAD's recently?..instruction on page 12 says that the Filing fee of $340 is waived coe category C9...is that true..:confused:

Hi Folks,
My friend's 485 is pending with CIS and he is working on EAD. He currently does not hold any other visa. In fact his last H1 expired more than a year ago. We recently tried to renew his EAD online on USCIS website. However, we were stumped by a question which asks the applicant about his/her current immigration status in US. It was a drop down box and had many options like H1, L1 etc, but there was no option for somebody like him whose current status is just "AOS pending".
How do we get around this? Do you think it is best to apply on paper?

You can get I-20 etc. But I think you will have to go to home country to get your F1 stamped. But better check with a lawyer.

One of my friend's I-485 with priority date of Jan 2006 got approved yesterday. They have posted the documents to USCIS for his wife early this month(as per his attorney) to link to his I-485, but the check was not cashed yet and receipt notice was not issued for his wife.
Will there be any issue in this regard? What will be the options for him just in case if the attorney has not sent the documents to USCIS for his wife or the documents get rejected for some reason? Any help/advice in this regard is really appreciated. Thanks.

Hi,
My family had visited me way back in 2004 on a visitor visa. Due to unavoidable circumstances, they had to stay beyond the stipulated 6 months ( for 2 more months). We had requested the govt. for extension approval and it had been granted then.
We would like to have them visit us again by Nov of this year. However, when they went for the visa to consulate(last week), it got rejected, because the consulate person informed them that they had overstayed last time around.
I would like to know when can I legally apply for the visa again? And is there a way I could enhance my chances of an approval, rather than a rejection, next time I try. I am working on an EAD and my husband had filed for I485 for our family(I140 approved stage).
Any advise would be appreciated.
