I need feedback from you guys. I have researched this lawyer before I got her to start my greencard and the feedbacks seems that she is efficient and knowledgeable. However, since we signed the contract with her, things have been moving so slow. She doesn't want to talk to me or give me status updates when asked. She has all the information needed from me and my employer to start the prevailing wage request but a month has passes and nothing has been requested yet. Has anybody here experience the same thing?

I was checking the http://congress.org
I noticed they have a Calls to Action from Groups and Organization on the home page, When i tried to see if there are any Immigration related issues posted There were many like increasing H2A etc but nothing corresponding to Retrogression or GC waiting faced by thousands of immigrants.
There are 100s of bills waiting for Co-sponsors published on this website.
I felt we should do post about the issues faced by Thousands of Legal immigrants who are struck in retrogression or Per country limit.
This may be a good place to put as a number of representatives may view it and it is a good way for us to let the people know of the issues.
Any thoughts........

Why should we _do anything more than writing on forums?

Hi,
I am currently building a application in silverlight 3 where i do a search for a you tube video and it returns me with a set of videos. I then play the video by embedding the flash player with a HTML-Placeholder in silverlight 3.
Problem:
I want to determine the end of the flash file and call a c# function (which will play the next video). I don't know how to archive this.
Any Help with this is greatly appreciated.

Option1 -
Get enrolled in some university and get F1. Full time classes can give you 2-3 years of stay.
Option2-
Covert status to B1/B2. That would just buy you 6 months at the max.
Option3-
Pack up and go back to home country. Live a free life.

Recently my 140 was filed and the checks were cashed through ACH. I paid for PP and see that the checks were cashed on March 8th. My attorney has not received my receipt, I was wondering if there was anyway I can get the receipt number for the case so I can track it ...

Since you were working all these times, please carry the W2 for 2008 ( for both of you). They may/may not ask for this, but its safe to carry the document
I am currently on H1 but planning to go on H4 due to current economic scenario.
I am planning to go to India due to some family reason and planning to get COS from H1 to H4 in India.
I have my salary slips and my husband has also maintained his status throughout.
Has anyone heard any horror stories about H4 stamping cases getting denied.
What documents they ask for when you go for COS from H1 to H4. Besides salary slips can they ask for my W-2's or they need my husband's W-2's only

These are my details :
I-140 -> Jul 07
I -485 -> Aug 07
I -140 Denied in may 08. There was no appeal no MTR
I-485 shows pending
New I 140 was filed in Jun 08, we got receipt information.
On that A# is same as the A# issued for I-485
Questions:
a) Is my I-485 still valid?
b) Is it tied to new I-140 we filed?
c) Can I renew my EAD and AP if I 485 is valid?
d) How to check all the 3 above?

South Carolina Republican Senator Lindsey Graham has said many times in the past that the GOP needs to move back to the middle on immigration reform. He's putting his money where his mouth is and is leading the GOP's pro-immigration wing as they work behind the scenes shaping the bill likely to be introduced in the next few weeks. I am a US Citizen and will be filing a petition (i 130) to bring my mother over on a greencard.
Recently on her visit to the US on a visitor visa she was marked as NO AOS/COS/EOS on her I - 94
and she left by the date specified on her i - 94.
My question is will it have any effect on her GC petition and what is the current wait time for consular processing on an i-130 petition
