Good to hear that you are a Kabayan!I am currently in Marikina City.My wife is also calling friends and colleagues to contact Senators and Congressmen.I also had my sister(teacher) and cousins (nurses) contact theirs too even way back in Nov 06 when SKIL was being pushed in the new Congress. It is almost a year and at the latest the SChumer/hutchison amendment was withdrawn. I really hope something does pass for Sched A this year.

Since your PD is June 2003, you could have applied in June 2007 because in June Visa bulletin(released in May ) it moved till April 2004.
This is too good to be true.. How could you apply in June if you are Eb3 with PD Sept 2003? The PD was'nt current in June. Also, how did your 140 get approved in less than a month? Premium Processing was'nt there in July...
I have a PD of Sep 2003. I filed my labor in Nebraska in Sep 2003 and state labor got cleared in a week and federal took 2 weeks. I had my Labour on Oct 2nd. I filed for my 140 and recd approval in 3 months. I had to wait for my 485 filing as I wanted to file it with my spouse who was out of country at that time. Rest of the details are in my signature.
BTW, those who are stuck in BEC's my sympathies are with you, its just pure bad luck your cases got stuck in there. PERM or no PERM this whole GC thing is just matter of timing.

The original poster please correct the mistake here, gcpadmavyuh is right, you could not have applied for 485 in June if you had PD of sep 2003. You could have applied for your 485 as early as March 2005 when the PD dates retrogressed.

Finally spoke to my congressman's Immigration contact in Bucks County PA.
He sounded supportive and said he will investigate the matter. I am going to call my state senators Sen Specter and Sen Casey's office as well.

I see that most of the people who initially responded to my first post about the southern california state chapters have some recent activity i.e. they have visited this website in the last 2 days after my last posting requesting you to e-mail me about your availability for a conference call today. Not one of you has responded to my request to e-mail me.
I just want to make you all aware that IV core members can do a limited amount of work. They are definitely not superhumans although we expect them to be as such. If we fail in our efforts to secure any retrogression relief we will have only ourselves to blame in such a situation. Besides this is a very ripe time to be active and talk to politicians here in Southern California region. I would like to reschedule the conference call for the coming week/weekend depending on your availability.
In the end our best intentions and best wishes are not going to get us the immigration relief we want. We also cannot blame IV core team if we do not start working and lending them a hand. The choice is clearly ours. I hope that all of us will be more forthcoming and open to spending some time on IV work in the future.

If we dont take active interest and do nothing, we can only blame ourselves iif nothing happens in DC soon enough. IV is not IV core but each and every member of IV and efforts are needed from each member in order to succeed. Jimi, pls send PMs to all members on the thread requesting them to get in touch with you so that you can organize state chapter activites.

In Jan 2010 DOL will publish their data and that will make thing very clear. I think DOS is assuming around 10 -15 k Spill over visas that can be available to Eb2 India ( based on previous years ) and that is what it take them into Oct - Dec 2005 range. They don't factor in CIS processing time. But I think from pool of 40-50k pre adjudicated apps CIS can easily consume 10k visas. But if there are less labors and more spill over visas ( like 30 -40 k) then be ready for mini version of july fiasco.

guys! who have those documents/letters being sent can you have a scanned copy of these documents/letters so that others can just download them and attach them with their email instead of cut copy paste and format. Absolutely wrong. If husband and wife are filing a joint tax return, it is wrong on her part to send money to her parents without informing her husband. Leave the taxes, it was simply wrong on a wife's/husband's part to do ANY major money transaction without letting your other partner know. Its equivalent of cheating (just financial cheating). Do you think it is ok for a man to send money to his parents?
I do agree with your point that information about transactions should be known to both parties. To answer your question, yes, in my opinion, it is perfectly OK for a man to send money to his parents since the man is earning. If the girl earns, she earns that right.
Say, when the couple goes to India for a vacation, I totally support the girl buying gifts similar to what the man has bought for his family/relatives. I also support assistance based on humanitarian needs for girl's parents. ONLY when it is comes to demands of sending monthly allowance or occasional lump sum, a line needs to be drawn.
