Hi, I have/had valid I-94 all the time. Recently I renewed my passport in US. But I renewed it 3 months after expiry of old one. I heard from friends that, you need to have valid passport for the entire period of H1B petition validity. Wondering, If am in trouble for not renewing my passport before it expired. Please give your opinions.

Pls. advise me on our best choice.
I am on H1 (primary), currently working for this company for past 6-7 years. Applied for I-485, AP, EAD on 2nd July along with my husband's petition, who came to US on H4. Changed to F1 for past 5 years. He just got his EAD card and in next 6 months time, he will be accepting position with my same company upon graduation.
My question is what shd we do now, since he is on F1 on student records, but has a EAD approved.
Possibilities :-
1) Shd he call his student dept and get records changed from F1 to EAD holder?
2) Shd he continue as F1 and not worry about EAD for now?
3) Shd he accept the pjob offer on EAD and move on from there?
4) Can I continue to be on H1 and not use up EAD for now?
Pls. advise me our further course of action, which is legally correct.

But if you can't control the vitriol coming from the Tea Party wing and actually work with Dems on immigration reform, you're not going to reverse the damage. In short, conservative Hispanics still perceive the GOP as anti-them. And PR campaigns aren't going to fix that problem. CPA is not something thats awarded as a graduate degree by an accredited university. So probably no.
But make sure you are not shutting your option by talking to an immigration lawyer and finding out for sure if you are qualified.

Dear Friends,
I am traveling to canada for a conference. My H1-B is stamped on my old passport valid till 2012. In January 2010 I obtained a new passport from the indian embassy chicago as my old passport was getting expired. I will be traveling with both the passports.
Is it mandatory to transfer the visa from old to new pasport ?

I have exact opposite case. My 140 was approved at TSC. Lawyers sent 485 to NSC. I asked they said its ok. Since they sent copy of 140 with 485. You can file anywhere.

Im having my H1B and 140 approved with my current employer. Now I got into a situation where in I need to file a new H1B with a new employer through whom im working on a project.But once my H1B is approved, my new employer will dismiss/cancel the new H1b Filed, as they just need to show that they filed a H1B for me.
Will this be a problem for my current 140 and GC processing or my existing H1B?
Coz that Im not going to use my new H1B, I can still continue using my current I94 right!
Any issues if my new H1b gets rejectd or queried!

Yes you should furnish this info. One of the forms asks for details of previous marriages which you should provide. I think you will also need to provide your divorce decree. Providing the information does not impact your application one way or the other.

Yes, as long as you have valid AP, you can re-enter and resume working on a valid EAD.

I am stuck out side of US for my name check for last 9 months. I have approved I 140. is there any way I can file my I 1485 and Advance parole or any thing to get back into US.
Some one has told me that I can use consular processing but have no idea about that.
Please help me and let me know what are possible options for me to return to US.
