Sorry to hear about the case,
one of my friends had a similar situation, his parents visa was rejected thrice,
forth time, they went separately and got the visas without any issues.
You may want to try that route..hope this helps.
For visitors visa, its pure luck, sometimes they ask many questions and sometimes none.
Also, make sure that they state exactly what is in I-131 and no conflicting answers.

Did anyone read the last two lines on the first page:
"Unused numbers can �fall-down� from E1 to E2 to E3. Unused numbers can �fall-up� from E4 and E5 to E1. This is taken into consideration when setting monthly/annual targets for number use based on historical/recent patterns."
Are they preparing for BIG spillover right from this month or am I reading too much between the lines.

Guys,
We have been reading about so many issues faced by our community here. The 2 main issues are
1. Driver's licenses - Most states have their own laws to prevent us from getting a driver's license as we should. They claim that this is to prevent illegal immigration. Anyone, with a right frame of mind knows that that is bs. Illegal Immigrants dont care about DL. They are here to work, not to drive. They dont care about Driver's Licenses.
2. Second issue is the threads about the stimulus package. If my wife does not have a valid SSN, does that make her illegal? She does not have a SSN, because the law doesnt give dependents one. That does not mean, we dont pay Income Tax, SS Tax and Medicare tax. In fact, I may never see a cent of those SS Tax and Medicare. So, why should I be deprived of this package for being in this country legally and law abiding.
There might be more issues that I am unaware of. But, the point is, in all this legal jumbo mumbos, we, the legal and law abiding people are the one that is caught in the cross fire.
It is nice that IV is doing its part with rallys, flower campaigns(with success, I might add) and now the administrative fixes. But, my question is, is this enough?
Hence, I decided to put my thoughts in this forum.
We should come up with a campaign- like a 20 point formula. We will list all the needs and issues that we face. Then, I believe we should take it to the next step.
Following the footsteps of Mahatma Gandhi, can we organize a day of FASTING outlining our hardships, or better yet, It could be a week of fasting. Chain Fasting that is. 10 people everyday for 7 days on a rotation basis. That is definetely new to this country :)
Even if it falls into deaf ears, I am sure that will attract some coverage from the media. Remember, everything in this country is driven by lobbysts and media coverage.
Please give me your thoughts.

I got for my self and for my wife $500,000 each. We pay premium every year around $1200/ year. It is 30 years term. After 30 years of term, i will get my all premium back $38,400.
This kind of term policy first time is launched by prudential in USA.

Folks,
I have applied for my I-140 and I -485 Concurrently as my PD became current in July. I had very less time to file for I- 140 in PP as i have got my my LC only in June 3 rd week. so i filed both of them concurrently.
Now that USCIS is accepting I -485s again , and at the same time there is no PP for I -140 i am not sure whether i will be able to use AC 21 portability after 6 months OR not.
Fellow members please let me know what are the chances of getting the I-140 PP back in August.

My employer is processing an EB2 labor certification (Bachelors + 5 years). They have 3 to 4 job openings in varying requirements. Which is the best one for me to get the lowest prevailing wage out of all so that it matches my current low to medium wages.

what if u change the underlying I140 which is for the Dependant rather that primary applicant? U are changing the Primary beneficiary here to the dependent

I have been struggling with my Employer from the begining of GC process. My labour was filed on May 2007 and got approved on August 2007. My Employer kept me waiting until Feb when it would have been expried otherwise. Now he says he has filed my I140 but does not provide me any evidence. I have following questions and would appreciate if you can provide me your insights:
1) Is there a way for me to find out if my I140 has been filed. Can I talk with INS and find out about this or even get the receipt number.
2) Can I file my own 485 ( as I am current ) with out the knowledge of my employer ? Is so what all do I need.
